‘‘Portraits of Grace’’

A Story of hope to rise again.

At age 21 with three children, after being a victim of rape at the age of 17, divorced and unemployed with no independence living off a welfare grant to survive. The shame and judgement buried me but the innocent faces of my children made me seek God’s face and word for mercy to restore life and joy to us as a family.

Opting for marriage again at age 28 in attempt to complete my family and create a perfect picture opened me up to more failure. Instead I became responsible for another son to raise and protect.

My children gave me hope and resilience to strive for independence and provide for them with pride. God was my refuge for faith and they did not deserve the shame that came with my decisions that were in and out of my control.

It was a journey to empower myself with only God’s help and dig deep inside myself for what I hadn't seen throughout my teenage years. My self-worth was restored through God’s grace and ability to be developed and grow into the independence I needed to raise my children while holding God’s promises for their lives.

The future was unknown and challenging when my first born became a drug addict at the age of 15. Standing firm on the word of God: “God has a plan to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you hope for the future” Jeremiah 29 v 11. I held firm to my faith throughout this trying time and never lost hope.

Today we all have our independence which for me is the SUCCESS we strived for whilst staying dependent on God for continuous growth.

I tell my story in a coffee table book called “Portraits of Grace”

This is where I share my shame and blame and how I dealt with my skeletons and generational curses to set my next generation free and generation to come.

I declare and decree:

Every curse is broken over my children and their children

A new beginning with Blessings of God over my children’s lives

No more lack and Godly provision is our portion

My passion is to encourage and motivate women and youth to set goals and reach for it without doubt.

You can rise again and reach for the stars to live the life God intended for you.

Philippians 4 v 13 “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength”
